Originally drafted by the New York Rangers with the 14th Overall Pick in the 1973 NHL Draft, Slick Rick Middleton was a talented and skilled right winger in the NHL for 15 years. He spent the first couple years of his career with the Rangers before being traded to the Boston Bruins for Ken Hodge in what turned out to be one of the most lopsided trades in the history of league. Whereas Hodge would leave the NHL shortly after the trade, Middleton excelled on a talented Bruins squad, highlighted by a streak of five straight season in which he recorded at least 40 goals and 90 points. He had perhaps his best season in 1981-82 during that streak when he tallied a career high 51 goals. In addition to being a 3-time All-Star, Middleton also served as a Co-Captain for the Bruins for the last several years of his career and would also star on Team Canada during the Canada Cup. Middletons career came to an end in 1988, but not before he collected 448 goals and 540 assists for 988 points in 1005 games played. He was also just as effective in the Playoffs, putting up 100 points in 114 career Playoff games. This Boston Bruins NHL Puck is signed by Middleton and comes with a BC Sports Certificate of Authenticity.
